Volunteers

As a grass roots organization, the Museum depends upon volunteers from the community. Veterans especially enjoy serving as docents and giving tours to the public. Theie relating their own personal experiences in the military and in combat makes the tours come alive.

What Our Volunteers Do

• Act as Museum hosts
• Conduct tours of the Museum
• Host military reunions
• Assemble care packages for troops in the field and in hospitals
• Assist with museum administration
• Video and audio record veterans' reminiscences
• Provide a support network for veterans in need of healing
• Participate in parades and special events

Who Should Volunteer

While many of our volunteers are veterans of the armed forces, you need not be a veteran to be a volunteer. All you need is an appreciation for what veterans have done for us and a desire to honor them through your service to them and to the community.
